Post paid KPLC meter users are also not left behind when it comes to paying their electricity bills. Like with the prepaid option, there is a KPLC paybill number MPESA option for paying your power bills which is 888 888. Once you have this Pay bill number, you will need to follow the steps below to complete your transaction.

1. Open your MPESA menu and choose “Pay Bill” option from the LIPA NA MPESA drop menu
2. Key in the KPLC Paybill number 888 888 under the business number
3. In the Account no. section, enter your Kenya Power account number that looks like 123456-01
4. Key in the amount of money you wish to pay ranging between Shs. 100 and Shs.35,000
5. Enter your four digit secure MPesa PIN
6. Confirm all your details as correct and click Ok
7. A confirmation SMS from MPESA will be sent to your mobile phone followed later by a confirmation from KPLC themselves
